I hope my work has made you smile. I am lucky enough to live in what I consider one of the most beautiful places on earth. My aim is to capture some of that beauty, that slowness, that languid story in such a way that you can take some of that feeling home with you, or you can gift it to others. The goal of my art is allow you to drift, to escape right back here any time you want.
All About Me
I have fought "Art" my whole life. I was raised in a family of artists: my grandmother spent her time making beautiful landscapes, my aunts and uncles are all professional artists, and my mother is obsessed with painting teapots. Like any self respecting teenager I rebelled and pursued a life in the sciences and, ironically put my self through university with -- you guess it - Art. Self-taught in the best kind of way.
My journey has taken me all over the world: Living in New Zealand and Australia, and spending extended periods in Europe. When the time came to find home, I was called back to the shores of the Atlantic where my father had a farm on Nova Scotia's South Shore. That farm, like so many others, is now long gone but this place, the stories I grew up with and the culture that is so distinct remain. So when it came time to choose, we chose "Home". The 231 year old farm that found us and the community which embraces us provide a never ending source of inspiration. This is the spirit I try to capture for you.
